About Us

The club is situated down a small lane off Church Road. Originally the site of a Reading Room was founded in 1908. After the war it was given to the British Legion in order to preserve it's long term future in the mid 1940s. By the early 1950s it was back as Scaynes Hill Social Club and has been run since by a committee of volunteers for the benefit of its members. A place to relax, socialise and enjoy the facilities.

It continues to operate as a member's club to this day.

The club consists of a fully licensed main bar with ample seating, wi-fi access, TV, games machine, pool table and two darts boards.  There is a south facing decking area outside with unspoiled views across the fields and a small rear garden with smoking shelter.

The club also has a dedicated Snooker Room with a full size Snooker table.

There is a small car park in front of the club building.

The club puts on regular events for its members including karaoke, bingo, quiz nights and poker. The club also has occasional themed three course food nights which can be French, Italian, Mexican, a BBQ or our very popular curry night. We also host a New Year Party for our members.

Occasionally we put on a meat bingo, where you can win your Sunday roast or your mid-week sausages. All meat is sourced from a local butcher and is of very high quality.

The main bar makes a suitable venue for parties and live music. Please contact the club for further details.

Children and dogs are welcome.

Full membership is open to anyone over 18 years of age.

See our Membership page for further details.
